Not sure which Mac you have? Click the Apple menu at the top left, then About This Mac. If it says “Chip: Apple M…”, choose Apple chip. If it says “Processor: … Intel”, choose Intel chip.

Compare these values with the SHA-256 of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file arrived intact.

After downloading

  1. Install

    Windows: run the installer. If SmartScreen appears, confirm the file came from this site, then choose “More info” → “Run anyway”. Mac: open the disk image and drag MediCrab into Applications. If it will not open, try the other Mac version.

  2. Create your account

    Sign in with your email in the app to use online models (subscription, extra usage, or gifted credit).

  3. Check your manuscript

    Open the folder of the paper you are submitting or revising, import the draft, and run a full check. MediCrab changes the manuscript only where you agree.

Have these ready

  • Your Word, Markdown, or LaTeX draft.
  • The data table behind the numbers, if you have one.
  • The references you actually cited.
  • An internet connection for sign-in, AI review, and online search.
